Who we are
Welcome to RB Cheer, where spirit, dedication, and excellence come together to create an unforgettable experience! Our team isn’t just about high-energy routines and sharp stunts—we’re a family that values academics, leadership, and teamwork just as much as cheering under the Friday night lights. As Broncos, we embody strength, resilience, and heart, always striving to lift up our school and community with pride. We take pride in being a driving force of school spirit, rallying our community at games, pep rallies, and events throughout the year. More than just athletes, our cheerleaders are role models on campus, setting the standard for hard work, sportsmanship, and school pride.
Beyond the sidelines, RB Cheer is all about building lifelong friendships, making memories, and having a blast along the way. We believe in pushing ourselves to be the best—whether that’s in competition, in the classroom, or in the way we support each other. Being a Bronco means bringing passion, perseverance, and positivity to everything we do, and our cheerleaders lead the charge with energy and enthusiasm. Our team is a place where dedication meets fun, where confidence grows, and where every cheerleader finds their voice. If you're ready to be part of something bigger, to challenge yourself, and to make incredible friendships, RB Cheer is the place for you!

Coach Amy has been a passionate dancer and cheerleader throughout her life, starting at a young age. Growing up, she immersed herself in dance, gymnastics, and later transitioned her talents into cheerleading in high school. Her dedication and skill led her to travel the country and abroad, attending conventions and competing in prestigious events, sometimes even internationally.
After high school, Coach Amy joined the USA (United Spirit Association) staff, helping at camps, judging high school tryouts, and doing choreography. Shortly after her time with USA, Coach Amy had the honor of being an NFL cheerleader with the San Diego Chargers for four years, performing and traveling across the U.S. and globally to places like Australia, Canada, and Switzerland. This experience opened many doors in the dance world, and she took on various dance jobs through the NFL.
After her time in the NFL, Coach Amy continued sharing her passion by teaching dance, cheer, and Pilates. She later transitioned into coaching cheerleading for her daughter’s Pop Warner teams, where she found immense joy working with young athletes. Watching the girls' confidence grow and seeing them build lifelong friendships was one of her most rewarding experiences.
Currently, as a high school cheerleading coach, Coach Amy strives to instill in her athletes the same love for teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence that has shaped her journey. Her goal is to push them beyond their limits, helping them reach their full athletic potential while preparing them for the challenges and opportunities adulthood brings. Coach Amy aims to leave a lasting impact on each of her athletes, hoping they will carry the lessons learned on and off the mat for years to come.

Hi, my name is Katelyn, and I’m proud to be one of the cheer coaches here at Rancho Bernardo High School. As a Rancho Bernardo native, I’ve had the privilege of cheering for both RB Pop Warner and RBHS. For the past seven years, I’ve also served as an assistant coach for RB Pop Warner, and this is my first year coaching for RBHS. Outside of cheer, I’m currently a fourth-year student at San Diego State University, studying social work. I also work part-time at SDSU while gaining hands-on experience through a social work internship.

Hi, I’m Coach Tamiyah Johnson. I have dedicated over six years to coaching high school cheer, specializing in stunting and fundamentals. With a deep commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field or mat, I led the OHS cheer program for five successful years. Throughout the five years, I coached a 2nd and 3rd place CIF finish, as well as maintained a team average GPA of a 3.2, a testament to the hard work, determination, and skills that I instill in my athletes. This past year, I coached my first year of sideline and competitive cheer at RB and helped bring the school their first CIF Championship title.
